Our experience with Bernies Baked goods has always been a pleasure & a honor from our beginning in a small gas station parking lot to our brick & mortor nestled on the Virginia Capital Trail, Bernies has grown with us along the way and has always been able to keep up with the increased demand, we have always wanted to give our customers a food experience they would never forget and Bernie’s sweet treats helped to make that a reality for many of our customers,
We consider ourselves the Best in bbq and wanted to bring in some deserts that were of the same caliber & standards!, “we have had customers come in and skip the main course and go straight for that “sweet potato cookie bar” & “7up cheesecake bar, That says alot for Ms. Bernie and her treats, the people love them!

My testimonial of Bernie’s Baked Goods Brown Sugar Pound cake is like no other. My grandfather owned Lightfoot’s Bakery in Ashland, Virginia for many years. His baked goods were (the best ever)! Bernie’s Baked Goods B.S.P. C. can be put up against his cakes on any day. Bernie’s cake is like pound cake, with it’s on similar, but slightly different texture. Then the whole cake is glazed / drizzled over completely with the most delicious brown sugar sauce filling the hole in the middle and pooling all around all size and the bottom. It was our most popular dessert and the most requested; we actually had to sell it whole rather than sliced- due to customer request to show it for birthdays and other gatherings. The cake was always consistently good and well – presented and always came with enough glaze to drizzle on a slice to heat up later. The Best!!
